Porto Alegre is the capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The city is surrounded by the Guaíba Lake on an extension of 70 km of riverfront, in which the city has its most striking postcards. Recently, part of this area has undergone a revitalization process, with the aim of transforming the region and improving the quality of life of the local population.
