The city is colloquially referred to as "Cidade Morena" (Brunet City) because of its reddish soil. Campo Grande is a forested and well preserved city, with several public squares and gardens. Its broad avenues and streets, which cross the city from north to south and from east to west, form an almost perfect chess board, which makes driving and commuting a lot easier for tourists and visitants. |
Several tourist attractions present facts and events at various moments of the city’s history (revealed in cooking, workmanship and culture). The city offers several high-quality hotels, bars and restaurants, and a very entertaining nightlife. In addition, the city has an excellent infrastructure for rural and urban leisure and is considered a cosmopolitan tourist center, without losing its historical antecedents, which give it an irresistible air of peace and tranquility. |
