October 29 - November 01, 2008
SBAC-PAD is an annual international conference series, the first of which was held 21 years ago, in 1987. Each conference has traditionally presented new developments and high performance applications, as well as the latest trends in computer architecture and parallel and distributed technologies. The conference has strong international participation, with submissions from over a dozen countries, and is quite competitive, with around 100 submissions and a 30% acceptance rate in the latest years (click here to see the programs of previous years).
In 2008, the symposium will be held in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, the state in which is located the Pantanal, the world's largest wetland area famous for its flora and fauna. SBAC-PAD 2008 will be sponsored by the Brazilian Computer Society, the IEEE Computer Society through the Technical Committees on Computer Architecture (TCCA) and Scalable Computing (TCSC), and IFIP.
